Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Nursery Potting Assistant to join our vibrant plants team in Kalgoorlie for casual day work. This role is perfect for individuals who love plants and enjoy hands-on work in an outdoor retail environment. As a Nursery Potting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and presentation of our plant stock, ensuring our customers have access to the highest quality greenery. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the potting and repotting of various plant species.
- Water and fertilise plants according to their specific needs.
- Prune and deadhead plants to encourage healthy growth and appearance.
- Monitor plants for pests and diseases and report findings to supervisors.
- Organise and arrange plants on display benches, ensuring optimal presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the nursery area.
- Assist customers with basic plant care inquiries and direct them to appropriate team members for further assistance.
- Unload and sort incoming plant deliveries.
- Perform general labouring duties as required within the plant nursery.

- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
