Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of a structured training program designed to develop full competency as an Offshore Wind Farm Deckhand.
  • Assist experienced crew members with vessel operations, maintenance tasks, and equipment handling on offshore wind farms.
  • Learn and adhere strictly to all safety protocols and emergency procedures at sea and on the wind farm installations.
  • Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure the vessel and work areas are clean and organized.
  • Support the loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, and personnel.
  • Operate and maintain deck machinery and safety equipment under supervision.
  • Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to senior crew.
  • Participate in drills and exercises, including man overboard, fire, and abandonment drills.

Required Skills

  • No prior maritime or offshore experience required – full training provided.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Excellent physical fitness and ability to pass a maritime medical examination.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a demanding environment.
  • Conscientious approach to safety and adherence to procedures.
  • Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one) for transportation to training/departure points.
  • Ability to commit to shift work schedules, including nights, weekends, and extended periods offshore.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in machinery.
  • Experience in physically demanding roles or outdoor work.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Interest in renewable energy and sustainable practices.
