Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef or Sous Chef to join our acclaimed culinary team at The Westin Pittsburgh. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual looking to elevate their career within a prestigious hotel environment. As a key leader in our kitchen, you will be instrumental in crafting innovative menus, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen operation. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and implement innovative menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings in line with hotel standards and guest expectations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control to maintain budget adherence and minimize waste.
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
- Collaborate with the F&B management team to enhance the overall dining experience.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs promptly.
