Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Online Community Engagement Officer to join our remote team. This role is 100% remote and focused on fostering a vibrant, positive, and active online community around Telstra’s products, services, and brand initiatives. You will be responsible for listening, engaging, and responding to our online community members, managing social media channels, and helping to shape our digital presence. This is an exciting opportunity to connect with customers and advocates, building strong relationships and enhancing brand loyalty from anywhere in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and actively participate in online discussions across various social media platforms, forums, and community groups.
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to increase participation, feedback, and positive sentiment.
- Respond to community inquiries, comments, and concerns in a timely, professional, and brand-consistent manner.
- Identify and escalate potential issues or opportunities to relevant internal teams.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and product teams to align community activities with broader company goals.
- Create engaging content (e.g., polls, questions, discussion prompts) to stimulate interaction.
- Report on key community metrics, insights, and trends.
- Identify and nurture community advocates and influencers.
- Help moderate online communities to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in managing online communities or social media channels.
- Strong understanding of various social media platforms and online forum dynamics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in using community management tools and analytics platforms.
