Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Practice Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Launceston. This pivotal role involves overseeing the daily operations of our dental and allied health clinics, ensuring seamless patient experiences, efficient administrative processes, and robust team support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a positive clinic environment, managing schedules, handling patient inquiries, and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily practice operations, ensuring smooth workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient registrations, and records with precision.
  • Coordinate with dental practitioners and allied health professionals to optimize clinic efficiency.
  • Handle patient inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and empathetically.
  • Process billing, payments, and insurance claims accurately.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and clinic consumables, placing orders as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff members and provide ongoing administrative support.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and practice policies.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a medical, dental, or allied health administrative role.
  • Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Medical Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with specific practice management software (e.g., D4W, Cliniko, Best Practice).
  • Knowledge of Australian healthcare billing practices (e.g., Medicare, private health funds).
