Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and meticulous Operations Data Coordinator with a focus on civil and mining projects to join our team in Alice Springs. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accessibility of our project data, supporting operational efficiency and decision-making. You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting on data related to project progress, resource allocation, safety, and compliance across various civil and mining sites. This is an on-site role that requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to data management.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and maintain accurate operational data from various civil and mining project sources.
- Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on project performance, resource utilisation, and safety metrics.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data collection tools and processes.
- Support project managers and site supervisors with data analysis for informed decision-making.
- Ensure data compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand data requirements and reporting needs.
- Provide administrative support related to data management activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for data handling and reporting systems.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, pivot tables, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of data management principles.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with project management software or databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a data entry or coordination role, preferably within a construction, civil, or mining environment.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of safety and environmental data reporting in industrial settings.
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
