Job Description
Join the dynamic team at Woolworths Group as a Distribution Centre Hand. This full-time role in our Tuggeranong facility offers a robust hourly rate complemented by significant penalty rates for shifts outside standard hours and ample opportunities for overtime. You will be instrumental in the efficient movement of goods, ensuring that products are accurately processed and dispatched to our extensive network of stores. This is a physically active role that requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Full training will be provided to all successful candidates, making it an ideal opportunity for those looking to start or advance their career in logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload goods safely and efficiently from trucks and containers.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to dispatch requirements.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys (training provided).
- Assist with stock replenishment, rotation, and inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
- Good attention to detail for accurate order processing.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physically demanding role.
- Current forklift licence (or a strong willingness to obtain one with company support).
- Current First Aid certification.
