Job Description
Join UPS as an Overnight Courier Driver in Yonkers, NY. This role involves safely and efficiently delivering and collecting packages on dedicated quiet routes during night hours. We offer premium night pay for reliable individuals committed to excellent service and adherence to safety protocols. This is a crucial, full-time, on-site position ensuring the smooth flow of our overnight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle on designated overnight routes.
- Load and unload packages efficiently and securely.
- Accurately scan and track packages using handheld devices.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
- Ensure timely delivery and pickup of all assigned packages.
Required Skills
- Valid New York State Driver's License (Class D or higher).
- Clean driving record for the past three years.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic technological proficiency for using handheld scanning devices.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict schedules.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a delivery or driving role.
- Familiarity with the Yonkers and surrounding Westchester County area.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
