Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Packaging Machine Operator Assistant to join our production team in Joondalup. This ongoing full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing and packaging. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in supporting our machine operators, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of packaging machinery, and maintaining high standards of product quality. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Machine Operators with the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of packaging machinery.
- Load raw materials and packaging components into machines.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality, reporting any issues promptly.
- Perform basic quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Pack finished goods into cartons or pallets according to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with machine changeovers and minor maintenance tasks as directed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 20kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or production environment (even non-machine operating roles).
- Forklift license (LF class).
- Understanding of basic manufacturing principles.
