Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Parcel Sorters for night shifts at our Stratford depot. This is an immediate start position, and no prior experience is required, as full comprehensive training will be provided. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently sorting parcels, ensuring they reach their correct destinations on time. This role is physically demanding and requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment during night hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, scan, and sort parcels by destination quickly and accurately.
- Load and unload vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operate warehouse equipment as trained (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Identify and report any damaged packages or sorting discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Ability to work night shifts consistently.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift and move parcels up to 15-23 kg regularly.
- Good attention to detail for accurate sorting.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Basic communication skills to understand instructions and safety briefings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (though not essential).
- Familiarity with scanning equipment.
- A proactive and positive attitude.
