Job Description
Join the vibrant team at Novotel Coffs Harbour Pacific Bay Resort as a Part-time Host for our evening roster. We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly individuals to be the first point of contact for our restaurant guests. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and availability during evening hours. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience from the moment guests arrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guest flow efficiently.
- Maintain an organized and clean host stand and waiting area.
- Assist guests with menu inquiries and direct them to appropriate staff.
- Communicate effectively with dining room staff and kitchen regarding table status and guest needs.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve minor issues with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Assist with light cleaning and setup tasks as needed before, during, and after service.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and welcoming attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Availability to work evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
- Knowledge of reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is beneficial.
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate (or willingness to obtain).
