Job Description
Are you an animal lover who enjoys being active outdoors? Pirie Paws & People is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Pet Sitter and Dog Walker in Port Pirie. This flexible role is perfect for someone seeking a rewarding job that keeps them active and allows them to spend time with a variety of pets. No professional experience is necessary, as we provide full training to ensure you are confident and capable in providing excellent care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled dog walks, ensuring the safety and well-being of dogs at all times.
- Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, watering, playing, and administering medication as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for pets during visits.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pets' activities and well-being.
- Follow all client instructions and care plans meticulously.
- Report any unusual pet behavior or health concerns to the client and management.
- Ensure timely arrival for all appointments.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for animals of all shapes and sizes.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable with physical activity, including walking in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience caring for pets (personal or volunteer is fine).
- Current First Aid certification for pets.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
