Job Description
Are you an animal lover with a strong work ethic? Ajax Animal Sanctuary & Farm is seeking a dedicated Enclosure Cleaner to join our passionate team. This vital role ensures our animal enclosures are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, contributing directly to the health and happiness of our residents and the safety of our visitors. No prior professional experience in animal care is required; we provide comprehensive training for enthusiastic individuals who are committed to our animals’ welfare.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, stalls, and common areas daily.
- Remove waste, soiled bedding, and uneaten food.
- Replenish fresh water and monitor water systems.
- Report any unusual animal behavior or enclosure damage to management.
- Assist with general groundskeeping and facility maintenance as needed.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols for animal handling and waste disposal.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, standing for long periods).
- Reliable and punctual.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Comfortable working around various types of animals.
