Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join our thriving team in Gosford. Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently, including data entry and label generation.
- Provide expert advice and product recommendations on over-the-counter medications and health-related products.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy stock levels, including ordering, receiving, rotation, and expiry date checks.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle transactions, and manage cash reconciliation.
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
- Assist with health services and promotions as directed by the Pharmacist in Charge.
- Train and mentor junior pharmacy assistants as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Fred Dispense, dispenseRite).
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical product categories and common medical conditions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate II or III in Community Pharmacy.
- Experience with S2/S3 medications and related counselling.
- First Aid certification.
