Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team at Dryden Regional Health Services. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of physical conditions, helping them regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions, including range of motion, strength, balance, and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and evidence-based practices.
- Administer various physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, electrophysical modalities, and gait training.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and adaptive equipment use.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with professional and organizational standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
Required Skills
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Ontario, Canada.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist.
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based physical therapy interventions.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with diverse patient populations (e.g., neurological, orthopedic, geriatric).
- Additional certifications in specialized areas (e.g., manual therapy, dry needling).
- Familiarity with Canadian healthcare systems and practices.
- Proficiency in a second language (e.g., French).
