Job Description
We are seeking motivated and physically fit individuals to join our civil infrastructure team as a Pipe Layer Labourer in Launceston. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to vital civil projects across the region, focusing on the installation and maintenance of pipelines for water, sewer, and stormwater systems. We offer a high hourly rate, excellent training, and the chance to build a rewarding career in the civil construction industry. No prior pipe laying experience is strictly required, as we are committed to providing comprehensive on-the-job training for the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced pipe layers in the installation of various types of pipes for water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
- Perform general labouring duties on civil construction sites, including trenching, backfilling, and site preparation.
- Handle and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Operate hand and power tools as directed by supervisors.
- Adhere to all site safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Learn and apply pipe laying techniques and quality standards.
- Assist with traffic management as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
