Job Description
We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Plasterers Labourer to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in the construction industry. You will be working alongside experienced plasterers, providing essential support on diverse projects, from residential renovations to commercial builds. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal role for individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled plasterers with all aspects of their work.
- Prepare surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, hacking off old plaster, and applying bonding agents.
- Accurately mix plaster, render, and other building materials.
- Load, unload, and move materials around the site safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations on site.
- Carry out general site duties as required by the site manager or plasterer.
- Ensure all waste is disposed of correctly and environmentally responsibly.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to carry out manual tasks, including lifting.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- A willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or willingness to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- Full UK driving license and access to reliable transport.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
