Job Description

Join the team at Woolworths Supermarkets in Joondalup as a Produce Picker, playing a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the freshest fruit and vegetables every day. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are reliable, energetic, and eager to start their day early, contributing to the smooth operation of our busy market environment. As a Produce Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, sorting, and preparing a wide variety of fresh produce. Your attention to detail will be key in maintaining our high quality standards and ensuring our shelves are well-stocked and inviting for our shoppers. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, often starting before dawn to meet delivery schedules and customer demand. We are looking for team players who are committed to providing the best possible produce experience. Full training will be provided, so while previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, it is not essential. What’s most important is your willingness to learn, your physical fitness, and your ability to work consistently and efficiently during early morning shifts. You’ll be joining a supportive team dedicated to freshness and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and sort a diverse range of fruit and vegetables according to quality and quantity specifications.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all produce meets Woolworths' high standards before stocking.
• Prepare produce for display, including weighing, packaging, and labelling as required.
• Replenish fruit and vegetable displays on the shop floor, ensuring an attractive and well-stocked presentation.
• Assist with receiving and unloading fresh produce deliveries.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in the produce section and backroom areas.
• Operate manual handling equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys).
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.

• Reliability and punctuality, especially for early morning shifts.

• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items up to 15kg.
