Job Description
Are you passionate about finance and looking to kickstart your career in a dynamic property management setting? Foxtons is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Property Management Bookkeeper to join our Shoreditch team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with little to no prior experience in bookkeeping or finance, as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in supporting our property management department, ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the smooth operation of our property portfolio. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong willingness to learn, and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the accurate processing of rent payments and tenant deposits.
- Support the reconciliation of bank statements and property accounts.
- Maintain organised financial records for a portfolio of properties.
- Prepare and process invoices, ensuring timely payments to landlords and suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision.
- Communicate effectively with landlords, tenants, and internal teams regarding financial queries.
- Learn and utilise property management accounting software.
- Adhere to all financial regulations and company policies.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the finance department.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Eagerness to learn and develop a career in finance/bookkeeping.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A-levels or equivalent in a business or finance-related subject.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Previous experience in an office administrative role (even non-finance related).
- Familiarity with property management concepts.
