Job Description

You’ll play a crucial role in the property transaction process, ensuring accuracy and facilitating smooth real estate closings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research of public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, and other documents affecting property titles.
- Verify property ownership and identify any encumbrances or defects in title.
- Utilize online databases, county clerk websites, and other resources to gather necessary information.
- Accurately input data and maintain detailed records of all research findings.
- Prepare clear and concise title reports for review by senior staff.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding research progress and findings.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on changes in property law and title procedures.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a quiet office environment
- Willingness to learn new processes and legal terminology
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
