Job Description
Join the dedicated team at The Azure Coast Hotel & Spa as a Public Area Cleaner and play a crucial role in upholding our reputation for pristine luxury. In this vital on-site position, you will ensure all public areas of our exquisite hotel remain spotless, welcoming, and safe for our discerning guests. This role requires an exceptional eye for detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in a luxury environment. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, contributing directly to the overall guest experience and the comfort of our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and maintain all designated public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, lounges, elevators, stairwells, and offices.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and disinfect surfaces, fixtures, and furniture to meticulous standards.
- Empty waste bins, transport trash, and dispose of waste in designated areas according to hotel procedures.
- Replenish supplies in public restrooms, fitness centres, and other communal areas as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage observed in public areas to the supervisor promptly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Interact with guests in a courteous and professional manner, providing assistance or directions when required.
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Office) to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to perform detailed cleaning tasks with a high degree of precision and efficiency.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required by the job.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Basic understanding of English for communication and following instructions.
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to maintaining impeccable standards of cleanliness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (6+ months) in a cleaning role within a hospitality or luxury environment.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a professional cleaning context.
- First Aid certification (desirable).
