Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Part-time Poultry Farm Hand to join our dedicated team in Toowoomba. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for consistent day work with weekly pay, providing essential support in the daily operations of our poultry farm. No prior experience in poultry farming is required; we are committed to providing full training to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You will be instrumental in ensuring the welfare of our birds and the smooth running of farm activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily health checks on poultry and report any concerns to farm management.
- Assist with feeding and watering routines, ensuring adequate supply for all birds.
- Clean and maintain poultry sheds and equipment to high hygiene standards.
- Collect eggs and prepare them for grading and packing.
- Monitor environmental conditions within sheds, adjusting ventilation and temperature as needed.
- Assist with bird movement, vaccination, and other animal husbandry tasks.
- Operate basic farm machinery and equipment safely after training.
- Adhere to all biosecurity protocols and animal welfare guidelines.
- Contribute to general farm maintenance and tidiness.
