Job Description

Health Sciences North Laboratories is offering an exciting opportunity for a Public Sector Phlebotomist Trainee. This is a comprehensive, paid clinical training program designed to equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge to become a certified phlebotomist. You will receive hands-on instruction and mentorship from experienced professionals, learning the art and science of venipuncture, patient interaction, and specimen processing in a public health setting. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in all aspects of the phlebotomy training curriculum.
  • Learn and practice venipuncture techniques on various patient populations under supervision.
  • Understand and adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety procedures.
  • Develop skills in proper specimen collection, labeling, and handling.
  • Learn to accurately enter patient information and test orders into laboratory systems.
