Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Recruitment Consultant with a talent focus to join our Public Service division based in Campbelltown, NSW. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and placing high-calibre professionals into various government agencies and public sector organisations across the region. You will manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle, build strong relationships with clients and candidates, and contribute to the successful delivery of public services by ensuring the right talent is in the right place. This role requires an individual with a passion for public service, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to talent acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for public service roles, from initial client brief to successful placement.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates using various innovative methods and platforms.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with government clients and public sector organisations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to both clients and candidates on market trends, salary expectations, and career development.
  • Develop and implement strategic talent attraction initiatives for hard-to-fill public service positions.
  • Negotiate offers and manage onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Achieve and exceed individual and team recruitment targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant recruitment legislation, internal policies, and public service guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in end-to-end recruitment, with a preference for experience within the public sector or government.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Solid understanding of public sector recruitment processes, compliance, and ethical standards.
  • Valid working rights for Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Experience recruiting for various public service classifications (e.g., administrative, policy, project management, technical).
  • An active professional network within the NSW public service sector.
  • Certification in recruitment practices or talent acquisition.
