Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an ATO Revenue Officer with a focus on Federal Finance. In this critical role, you will contribute to the fair and efficient administration of Australia’s tax and superannuation laws. You will be responsible for a range of tasks including processing tax returns, assisting taxpayers with inquiries, identifying and addressing compliance issues, and managing taxpayer accounts. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of federal financial regulations and contribute directly to public service. Full training will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this specialized field.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify tax returns and financial statements accurately and efficiently.
- Respond to taxpayer inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence, providing clear and correct information.
- Assess and reconcile taxpayer accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve basic compliance issues in accordance with ATO guidelines and federal legislation.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a consistent approach to tax administration.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all taxpayer interactions and account activities.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and statistical data related to revenue collection and compliance.
- Stay informed about changes in tax law, policy, and administrative procedures.
