Job Description
Join our dynamic construction team as a Rebar Tying Assistant. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to start a career in construction and are not afraid of heavy manual labor. We are specifically looking for highly motivated individuals who are ready to learn on the job. You will be instrumental in assisting with the tying of rebar, preparing structures for concrete pours, and ensuring all work meets rigorous safety and quality standards. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training to help you master the skills needed for this vital role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced rebar workers in sorting, cutting, and bending rebar according to specifications.
- Learn and perform various rebar tying techniques using hand tools.
- Transport and position rebar for concrete foundations, walls, columns, and other structural elements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company and OSHA safety protocols.
- Support the team with general labor duties as needed on the construction site.
- Attend and actively participate in all safety briefings and training sessions.
- Inspect rebar for proper placement and securement before concrete pours.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Commitment to safety and following all site regulations.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
