Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recycling Coordinator with a corporate focus to join our sustainability team. This role is instrumental in managing and optimizing our internal recycling programs across various corporate facilities and potentially guiding initiatives across our retail network within the Blacktown region. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring recycling strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and driving continuous improvement in waste diversion. This position requires strong organizational skills, an analytical mind, and a passion for environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage corporate recycling programs and initiatives.
- Monitor waste streams and recycling performance, providing regular reports and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national waste management and recycling regulations.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., facilities, operations, procurement) to promote best practices and secure program buy-in.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction and diversion, researching and recommending new technologies or processes.
- Coordinate with external recycling vendors and contractors, managing service agreements and performance.
- Provide training and educational materials to employees on proper recycling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of waste audits, recycling volumes, and associated costs.
- Contribute to broader corporate sustainability goals and reporting.
