Job Description

Cleanaway is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Recycling Plant Hand in Newcastle. This is an entry-level opportunity where full training will be provided, making it perfect for those with no prior experience but a strong work ethic and a commitment to sustainability. You will play a crucial role in the sorting, processing, and management of recyclable materials, contributing directly to a cleaner, greener Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and process various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, glass) on a production line.
- Operate and monitor plant machinery under supervision after receiving training.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the recycling plant and work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials as required.
- Perform general labouring duties as directed by the plant supervisor.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
