Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Remote Patient Appointment Scheduler to join our healthcare call center team. In this fully remote role, you will be the primary point of contact for patients, responsible for efficiently managing their appointments, providing critical information, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. You will work from home, utilizing our state-of-the-art systems to schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments while maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality and customer service. This is a vital position that directly contributes to patient care coordination and satisfaction within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally from patients regarding appointments.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments using our electronic scheduling system.
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately.
  • Provide clear and concise information about appointment details, required documentation, and preparation.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and other staff to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
  • Resolve patient inquiries and address concerns with empathy and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as healthcare industry guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills.
