Job Description
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Roofing Debris Cleanup Crew member. This entry-level position is crucial to maintaining a safe and efficient worksite. You will be responsible for ground-level tasks, including the collection and disposal of scrap materials, old roofing debris, and general site cleanup. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the construction industry with full training provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and dispose of roofing debris, scrap materials, and waste from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Assist roofers and other crew members from the ground as needed, including fetching tools or materials.
- Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Basic understanding of worksite safety or willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labour or outdoor work setting (not required, but an asset).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Completion of a basic construction safety course (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection awareness).
