Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Rural Shed Builder Assistant to join our growing team in Griffith. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys manual work, working outdoors, and learning new skills in a supportive environment. As an assistant, you will play a crucial role in the construction of various rural sheds and structures, from preparing sites to erecting frameworks and cladding. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced builders in the construction of rural sheds and structures.
- Prepare construction sites, including moving materials and tools.
- Help with the erection of structural steel frameworks.
- Assist in the installation of roofing and wall cladding.
- Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform general labouring duties as required.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labor.
- Willingness to learn and take instruction.
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor (even if informal).
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
