Job Description
Join the Hastings Area School System as a School Bus Monitor / Aide and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and orderly transportation of our students. This unique part-time position features split shifts, making it an ideal opportunity for parents looking for work that aligns with school schedules. You will be a crucial support for our bus drivers, helping to maintain a positive environment on the bus and assisting students as they travel to and from school. We are seeking compassionate, reliable individuals dedicated to student well-being and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students during bus routes, ensuring their safety and adherence to bus rules.
- Assist students with special needs, including boarding and disembarking, securing equipment, and providing individual support as required.
- Communicate effectively with the bus driver regarding student behavior and safety concerns.
- Help maintain a clean and organized bus environment.
- Report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate school personnel.
- Serve as a positive role model for students.
