Job Description

Join Oregon Community Credit Union as a Member Services Teller and become a vital part of our community banking team in Corvallis. In this role, you will be the face of our credit union, providing exceptional service to our members, assisting with their financial transactions, and helping them navigate our products and services. We are looking for an individual with a passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. This is a Monday-Friday position, offering a consistent schedule and the opportunity to build lasting relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process member transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and maintain accurate records.
  • Identify member needs and cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services.
  • Educate members on credit union services, online banking, and financial literacy tools.
  • Resolve member inquiries and issues with professionalism and a member-first attitude.
  • Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding member accounts and financial information.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and enhance member satisfaction.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a teller or in a financial institution.
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Familiarity with banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Symitar).
