Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Monitoring Dispatcher to join our team in Cork. This critical role involves monitoring security systems, responding to alarms, and dispatching appropriate personnel or emergency services. The ideal candidate will be a highly responsible individual with excellent communication skills, capable of making quick, informed decisions under pressure, especially during night shifts. A valid security license is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor multiple security systems, CCTV cameras, and alarm panels for various client sites.
- Respond promptly and effectively to all incoming alarm signals and security incidents.
- Verify alarms, assess situations, and dispatch appropriate personnel (e.g., mobile patrols, emergency services) according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all incidents, actions taken, and communications.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, security personnel, and emergency responders.
- Operate dispatch software and other communication tools efficiently.
- Handle inbound calls from clients and security officers, providing support and information.
- Perform system checks and ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning correctly.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Valid PSA (Private Security Authority) license in Ireland or ability to obtain one quickly.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security monitoring center or dispatch role.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with various alarm systems and CCTV platforms.
- Proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Irish).
