Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our growing paediatric team. This role is perfect for a clinician eager to make a significant impact on the lives of children with developmental delays and disabilities within the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework. You will manage your own caseload, providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions in a variety of settings, including our clinic, homes, schools, and via telehealth. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive paediatric speech pathology assessments to identify communication strengths and challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented therapy plans in collaboration with children, families, and carers.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for a range of communication difficulties, including speech, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.
  • Offer support and education to families and caregivers, empowering them to facilitate their child's communication development.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals (Occupational Therapists, Psychologists) to ensure holistic client care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant client records and NDIS reporting.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities.
  • Manage and schedule your caseload efficiently, adapting to the flexible work arrangements offered by the clinic.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech Pathology from a recognised university.
  • Current unconditional registration with Speech Pathology Australia (CPSP status).
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a paediatric setting (minimum 1 year post-graduation).
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as an effective member of a team.
  • Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for client travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a private practice or NDIS specific setting.
  • Postgraduate training or specialisation in specific paediatric areas (e.g., feeding difficulties, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), early intervention).
  • Proficiency in using clinical management software.
