Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sponsorship Assistant to join our fundraising team in Woking. This role will provide vital administrative and operational support to our sponsorship programs, helping to nurture relationships with our valued donors and ensure the smooth running of all related activities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sponsorship Manager and wider fundraising team.
- Assist in the management of sponsor relationships, including timely and accurate communication, acknowledgment, and reporting.
- Coordinate the logistical aspects of sponsorship events, campaigns, and donor engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sponsor interactions, contributions, and program participation using our CRM system.
- Prepare regular reports on sponsorship program performance, donor engagement metrics, and campaign outcomes.
- Support the development and distribution of sponsorship materials, including appeals, updates, and impact reports.
- Handle general inquiries from sponsors and prospective donors, providing excellent customer service.
- Undertake other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the overall success of the fundraising department.
Required Skills
- Proven excellent organisational and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of engaging diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for child welfare and a strong commitment to the mission and values of Action for Children.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (minimum 1 year) in a fundraising, administrative, events coordination, or customer service role within a non-profit or similar environment.
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management.
- Basic understanding of charity sector operations and fundraising best practices.
