Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and meticulous individuals to join our Environmental Services team as a Hospital Cleaner. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards of Queen’s Hospital Burton, directly impacting patient well-being and staff safety. This is a critical role within our hospital, ensuring all areas meet stringent health and safety regulations. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of hospital cleaning protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning duties across various hospital departments, including patient rooms, wards, operating theatres, offices, and public areas.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Follow strict infection control and hygiene procedures to prevent the spread of contaminants.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and hand sanitiser.
- Dispose of waste, including general, clinical, and hazardous materials, in accordance with hospital policies and environmental regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and hospital policies.
