Job Description

Join Canada Life as a State/Provincial Disability Claims Processor and play a vital role in supporting individuals through challenging times. This rewarding position involves evaluating disability claims, ensuring fair and timely processing, and communicating effectively with claimants and healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and adjudicate new and ongoing disability claims in accordance with policy provisions, provincial regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, gathering necessary medical information, functional assessments, and vocational data.
  • Communicate claim decisions clearly and empathetically to claimants, employers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with rehabilitation specialists, medical consultants, and legal counsel as needed to manage complex claims.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed claim records within the system.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to claim documentation and payments.
  • Adhere to service level agreements and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry practices and policy changes.
