Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State/Provincial Foster Care Assistant to join our office-based team in Duncan, BC. This entry-level role is crucial in supporting the daily operations of our foster care programs, ensuring that administrative and logistical tasks are handled efficiently to allow our social workers to focus on direct client support. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating communications, and assisting with various administrative duties vital to the smooth functioning of our foster care services. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about child welfare who are looking to start their career in social services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to foster care caseworkers and supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client and foster parent records, both physical and digital.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and home visits.
- Prepare and process various forms, reports, and correspondence.
- Act as a primary point of contact for routine inquiries from foster parents and community partners.
- Coordinate and track necessary documentation for foster care placements and reviews.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating training sessions and support groups for foster parents.
- Manage office supplies and equipment, ensuring a well-organized and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
