Job Description
Are you an early riser with a passion for fresh baked goods? Globus Market is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supermarket Bakery Assistant to join our vibrant team in Odessa. Key Responsibilities
- Assist bakers with the preparation of doughs, fillings, and glazes.
- Operate ovens and other baking equipment safely and efficiently.
- Decorate and finish a variety of baked goods, including cakes and pastries.
- Monitor product freshness and quality, rotating stock as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
- Package and label bakery products for display and sale.
- Assist customers with bakery selections and special orders when required.
- Support inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages.
Required Skills
- Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (training provided).
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of different baking techniques.
- Customer service experience.
