Job Description
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Supermarket Home Delivery Drivers. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in connecting our customers with their essential groceries. With flexible hours available and a company van provided, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering orders, ensuring a friendly and professional service every time. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver grocery orders to customers' homes within designated time slots.
- Load and unload goods from the delivery van, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Provide excellent customer service at the point of delivery, including checking orders and assisting customers.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working order of the company delivery van.
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and payment transactions where necessary.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the store management promptly.
- Represent Sainsbury's brand positively during every interaction.
Required Skills
- Full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to lift and carry grocery items.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a multi-drop delivery role.
- Good geographical knowledge of Maidenhead and surrounding areas.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
