Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Supply Chain Data Analyst to join our team in Toowoomba. This role is crucial for optimizing our logistics operations and enhancing our supply chain efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide actionable insights, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making within our robust logistics framework. You will play a key part in maintaining stable and efficient operations for our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to supply chain operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and procurement.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and visualize supply chain performance.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to uncover opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with various departments, including operations, finance, and IT, to understand data requirements and deliver insightful analysis.
- Prepare and present analytical findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Support the implementation of new supply chain technologies and data analytics tools.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analysis activities.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing overall supply chain stability and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within a supply chain or logistics context.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with supply chain planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Familiarity with lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of Australian logistics regulations and industry standards.
