Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our casual event crew for upcoming festival set-up and pack-down in Whyalla. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for temporary, flexible work during the summer, particularly suited for students or anyone eager to gain practical experience in the events industry. No prior experience is necessary; full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and capable in all aspects of the role. You’ll be working outdoors, contributing directly to the vibrant atmosphere of local events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the physical set-up of event infrastructure including marquees, fencing, staging, and seating.
  • Help with the installation and dismantling of decorative elements, signage, and essential utilities.
  • Load and unload equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the set-up and pack-down phases.
  • Work collaboratively with the event management team and other crew members to meet deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines on site.
  • Be prepared for varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks.

Required Skills

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

  • Eligibility to work in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and own transportation (advantageous due to varied site locations and start times).
