Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Sustainable Packaging Line Worker to join our day shift team in Eastbourne. In this vital role, you will be an integral part of our production line, ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of our sustainable products. You will operate and monitor packaging machinery, perform quality checks, and contribute to maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery and equipment on the production line.
- Perform visual quality checks on products and packaging materials, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Load and unload materials onto the production line.
- Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues promptly to the shift supervisor.
- Adhere to the company's sustainability principles and waste reduction efforts.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capable of lifting and moving materials up to 15 kg.
- Commitment to health and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or factory setting (e.g., 6 months).
- Basic understanding of packaging machinery.
- Awareness of sustainable practices or eagerness to learn about them.
