Are you looking for an easy and rewarding summer job in Sept-Îles? The City of Sept-Îles is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Swimming Pool Water Testers / Monitors. This entry-level position is perfect for students or anyone seeking temporary summer employment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided on all aspects of water testing, pool monitoring, and safety protocols. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and cleanliness of our municipal swimming facilities, making sure water quality meets all health standards and that patrons have a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily water quality tests (pH, chlorine, alkalinity) at designated municipal pools using provided testing kits.
  • Accurately record and document all test results and observations in daily logs.
  • Assist with minor chemical adjustments under the direct supervision of a certified pool operator, following strict safety guidelines.
  • Monitor pool areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, and adherence to rules by patrons.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or significant changes in water quality to a supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized testing station and supply area.
  • Interact courteously with pool patrons, answering basic questions and providing general assistance.
  • Conduct routine visual inspections of pool facilities for general upkeep.
