Job Description
Are you a proactive and analytical individual with a passion for technology and eager to kickstart your career in product management? Capgemini is offering an exciting opportunity for a Technical Product Owner Intern to join our dynamic team in Chorley. This internship is designed for aspiring product professionals with little to no prior experience, providing comprehensive training and hands-on exposure to the critical function of backlog management within an agile development environment. You will work closely with experienced Product Owners, Developers, and Stakeholders, learning how to translate business needs into technical requirements and manage the product backlog to ensure efficient and impactful product delivery. This role is an excellent stepping stone for anyone looking to understand the core mechanics of software product development and agile methodologies in a leading global technology company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the refinement and prioritization of product backlog items under the guidance of a Senior Product Owner.
- Learn to write clear, concise, and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support the Product Owner in gathering and documenting requirements from various stakeholders.
- Help monitor the progress of development sprints and contribute to identifying potential roadblocks.
- Conduct basic market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of product features.
- Contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT) activities and provide feedback.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts (e.g., how software is built).

Preferred Qualifications
