Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Telehealth Public Health Advisor to join our dedicated team working on a critical government contract. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK while contributing to vital national public health initiatives. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and support in the development, implementation, and evaluation of telehealth programs aimed at improving public health outcomes across various domains. You will play a crucial role in advising government agencies on best practices, technological solutions, and strategic planning for sustainable and impactful telehealth services. This role requires a blend of public health expertise, project management acumen, and a deep understanding of digital health technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and strategic recommendations on telehealth policy, strategy, and implementation to government stakeholders.
- Lead the development of comprehensive project plans for new telehealth initiatives, including scope definition, resource allocation, and timeline management.
- Conduct rigorous evaluations of existing telehealth programs, assessing their effectiveness, efficiency, and impact on public health metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical professionals, IT specialists, and policy makers, to ensure seamless program integration and delivery.
- Develop and deliver presentations, reports, and workshops to disseminate findings and best practices to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in telehealth and public health, integrating new knowledge into advisory services.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and workshops to gather requirements, build consensus, and drive successful program adoption.
- Identify potential risks and challenges in telehealth deployments and propose proactive mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development of proposals and bids for future public health contracts and opportunities.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in public health, healthcare management, or a related field.
- Demonstrable understanding of telehealth technologies, platforms, and their application in public health settings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and formulate actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in project coordination or management, preferably within a remote or distributed team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in public health and digital health.
- Understanding of government processes and contracting mechanisms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience working on government contracts or within a government agency.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or a relevant digital health certification.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPA) in a healthcare context.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and facilitation in complex environments.
- Published work or presentations on telehealth or public health topics.
