Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable individual to join our team as a Telephone Pole Poster Tearer. This entry-level position involves walking designated routes to remove unauthorized posters, flyers, and other materials from telephone poles and street furniture, contributing to a cleaner, more organized community appearance. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary for this easy outdoor walking route.
Key Responsibilities
- Walk assigned outdoor routes daily, regardless of weather conditions (within safety limits).
- Systematically identify and remove unauthorized posters, flyers, stickers, and other materials from telephone poles, lampposts, and public fixtures.
- Properly dispose of removed materials in designated receptacles.
- Report any damaged poles, significant graffiti, or public safety hazards observed during routes to your supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including company tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to walk for extended periods outdoors.
- Good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on assigned routes.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures for outdoor manual work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with outdoor manual labor (e.g., landscaping, delivery, maintenance) is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with the Kenora area and its local streets.
- A valid G-class driver's license (beneficial for potential future route expansion or team support, but not essential for this specific role).
