Job Description

Are you a highly energetic individual with a strong work ethic looking for an immediate start and weekly pay? Kennards Hire is seeking enthusiastic Tent & Marquee Installers to join our dedicated events team in Gympie. This physically demanding but rewarding role involves the safe and efficient installation and dismantling of tents, marquees, and associated equipment for a wide range of events across the region. You’ll be part of a fantastic team, working outdoors, and contributing to memorable experiences for our clients. Full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate reliability, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load, transport, unload, and install various types of tents and marquees.
  • Set up associated equipment, including flooring, lighting, and décor, according to event specifications.
  • Dismantle tents and equipment post-event, ensuring all items are cleaned, maintained, and returned to the depot in excellent condition.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
  • Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Australian Driver's License (manual preferred)

  • Basic understanding of tools and equipment operation
  • Previous experience in events or hire industry (not essential, but a bonus)
