Job Description
We are seeking experienced and reliable HC/MC licensed Tipper Drivers to join our civil construction team in Wangaratta, VIC. This crucial role involves the safe and efficient transportation of various construction materials, including aggregates, asphalt, and soil, to and from civil construction sites. You will be an integral part of our project delivery, ensuring timely material supply and adherence to all safety regulations and site requirements. We value professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HC/MC tipper trucks safely and efficiently on public roads and construction sites.
- Transport a range of construction materials such as aggregates, asphalt, soil, and rubble.
- Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all road transport regulations, site safety policies, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and complete required paperwork diligently.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, plant operators, and other team members.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
- Report any vehicle defects, incidents, or hazards promptly.
Required Skills
- Current and valid Heavy Combination (HC) or Multi Combination (MC) driver's license.
- Demonstrated experience operating tipper trucks in civil construction or similar environments.
- Excellent understanding of road safety regulations and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Experience with various types of civil construction projects.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with local Wangaratta and surrounding area road networks.
